Altona Unveils Community’s New Brand, Logo

The Town of Altona revitalized its image Wednesday, launching a new community brand.

Residents and visitors gathered at the Rhineland Pioneer Centre for the announcement, which included the unveiling of a new wordmark and tagline.

“Our objectives for developing a new brand for Altona are to add to the pride and enthusiasm area residents have in our community, to help grow our business sector and attract new investment, and further develop tourism,” Mayor Mel Klassen said in a release.

The town’s new wordmark and tagline took more than a year to create and was focus-tested with area residents.

“We’re very excited about it,” Klassen added.

The yellow-gold and red colours depict a prairie sunrise and sunset — which is fitting for the little community about one hour south of Winnipeg.
