The Manitoba Junior Hockey League will stage its eighth annual Old Dutch Showcase Weekend beginning today.
It’s a chance for junior players to show off their skills to university scouts from across Canada and the United States.
“The feedback we receive after this event is very positive. I know the scouts like to see the event in one venue, while fans have the opportunity to watch all 11 MJHL teams during a single weekend,” said MJHL commissioner Kim Davis. “It’s really a hockey fan’s ultimate dream.”
All games will be held at MTS Iceplex until Saturday, with the Winnipeg Blues taking on Steinbach tonight at 7 p.m.
