The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have created a scholarship fund to honour late defensive line and assistant head coach Richard Harris.

The football club, in partnership with Safeway, has created the 2012 Coach Richard Harris Scholarships.

Fans can now purchase a limited number of tickets to the remaining two regular season home games (October 22 and October 28) for $30 each. A portion of each ticket sold ($7.25) will be donated by Safeway and the Blue Bombers to Football Manitoba in a trust fund for two scholarships in honour of coach Harris for the 2012 football season.

A total of 350 tickets are available for the games and will be sold at the Madison Square Safeway located at 1612 Ness Avenue.

Recipients of the Scholarship will be awarded at a Blue Bomber home game in the summer of 2012.

Coach Harris passed away on July 26. He will also be honoured at an upcoming social on September 29.
