A two-vehicle crash just east of Steinbach Saturday morning has claimed the life of a man from the RM of Piney.
RCMP say the crash between a 2005 Toyota Camry and 2011 Ford Fusion occurred on Highway 52 when both vehicles were travelling eastbound just before 9 a.m.
The driver of Camry, a 76-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. His passenger, a 73-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with serious, undetermined injuries.
The driver and lone occupant of the Ford Fusion, a 45 year old woman from the RM of La Broquerie, was also transported to hospital with serious, undetermined injuries.
Weather conditions at the time were said to be clear with good visibility.
Speed or alcohol were not factors in the crash.
Police are continuing to investigate.
