Dr. Kayode Fayemi (HANDOUT)

Nigeria’s State Governor will visit Winnipeg today to meet with business leaders from Manitoba’s public and private sector.

Dr. Kayode Fayemi will be in the city for three days, while his Ekiti State government seeks to learn about farm settlements, co-operatives and agro-allied industries.

Also on the agenda are meetings surrounding education and human resource development, health care and hydro power generation.

Ekiti State has a population of more than 2.7 million people, and is potentially rich in mineral deposits, such as granite, kaolin, columbite, channockete, iron ore, and others.

Fayemi’s meetings will conclude on Tuesday with a visit to the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce.
