Fifteen years was a long time to wait for the beloved Winnipeg Jets to return. Now that they have, the city partied their hardest on Sunday to celebrate finally having the NHL back.
Celebrations were spread out throughout downtown, from chants of “Go Jets Go” at nearly every street corner, to The Forks and parking lots, where some fans began playing games of shinny. After the big game, many wandered over to the Winnipeg Convention Centre for the After Burner Social.
