The Manitoba Bisons proved victorious over the weekend, holding off the Lakehead Thunderwolves at the BOB FM Shootout Women’s Basketball Tournament.
Fifth-year forward Mubo Ilelaboye led the Herd with 34 points to take the Bisons to a 74-67 victory on Sunday at the Duckworth Centre.
Ilelaboye finished the contest shooting 12-of-18 from the field, including a perfect six-for-six from three point territory.
Ilelaboye also secured 12 rebounds for the Bisons and was named a Tournament All-Star for her efforts.
Lauren Mortier added 12 points for Manitoba.
