This one is for you, “Star Trek” fans, so set your phasers to stun.
William Shatner’s new documentary, “The Captains,” will be screened in select Canadian cities for a one-night only showing.
The Captains is a feature length documentary that “boldly goes where no man has gone before,” giving viewers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at one of the most durable and profitable franchises in entertainment history, and the men and women who made the Star Trek brand an international phenomenon since 1966. The film is written and directed by William Shatner himself.
Cineplex Entertainment is presenting the unique event on Thursday, October 13 beginning at 7 p.m. CT. Winnipeg audiences can catch the film at SilverCity Polo Park.
“Movie theatre seats across the country are the closest fans can get to the Captain’s chair on this voyage that looks at the iconic role of a Star Trek Captain,” said Cinexplex spokesperson Pat Marshall. “Trekkies will not want to miss this one-night only event.”
Tickets can be purchased in advance at the box office, or online at Cineplex.com/events.
