Students affected by last week’s fire at Laura Secord School will begin returning to class today, but it won’t be at the Wolseley Avenue school.
About 600 students were displaced last Wednesday when an insulation fire evacuated the building shortly after lunch time. Since then, arrangements have been in the works to find alternate locations to house the students.
- Grade 1 to 6 French immersion students will attend Sir William Osler School, 1600 Grant Avenue
- Students in the four Alternative Program classes will attend Wolseley School
- Grade 1 to 6 students in the English track program will attend classes at Mulvey School, 750 Wolseley Avenue
- Nursery and kindergarten students will attend classes at Robert A. Steen Community Centre, 980 Palmerston Avenue
Laura Secord School is scheduled to reopen Monday, October 17.
Updated information for parents will be posted at wsd1.org.
