The University of Manitoba Bison women’s basketball team will be donning pink this weekend in support of cancer research.

The Bisons will face the University of Winnipeg in an invitational on Saturday evening at Investors Group Athletic Centre.
Proceeds from the “Shoot for the Cure” Invitational Tournament will be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. The team will also be selling pink T-shirts in support of the cause for a suggested donation of $10.
Besides aiming for their goal of $5,000, the Bisons are also encouraging fans to wear pink to show their support.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students/seniors. Game time is 7 p.m. Lakehead will face Trinity Western in a game prior at 5 p.m.
The Bisons also play tonight against Trinity Western at 8 p.m., following a game between Winnipeg and Lakehead at 6 p.m. On Sunday, Winnipeg will face Trinity Western at 11 a.m., while the Bisons play Lakehead at 1 p.m. All games are at IGAC.
