University of Winnipeg Students Graduating Today

University of Winnipeg students will graduate this afternoon at the university’s 95th Autumn Convocation.

Honourary Doctorate of Laws will be given out to Elijah Harper, the first elected First Nation member to the Manitoba Legislature, Tobasonakwut Kinew, role model, teacher and Elder, and Justice Murray Sinclair, Manitoba’s first Aboriginal judge.

Students graduating from graduate programs, theology, science, education, arts and business and economics will receive their degrees during the convocation.

Doors to the Duckworth Centre, located at Spence Street and Ellice Avenue, will open at 12:30 p.m. The ceremony will run from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The convocation will also be live streamed at UWinnipeg.tv.
