U of M Bison football running back Anthony Coombs has earned conference accolades after his stellar performance on the field this past weekend.
Coombs was named CIS Offence Football Athlete of the Week on Wednesday for his four touchdowns and 226-yard performance against Alberta at University Stadium last Saturday.
On Tuesday, the rookie spoke to local media about stepping up his game and what lies ahead for this weekend
Coombs is only in his fifth CIS career game, but appears to be a future star on the Bisons’ roster. This is the second time this season a Bison athlete has received CIS football honours. Grayson Wells was highlighted for his part in special teams on September 18.
The Herd (3-3) now travels to Calgary on Saturday, where they face the Dinos (6-0).
