Award-winning author Jo Ellen Bogart and illustrator/plasticine artist Barbara Reid will visit grade one students from Principal Sparling School today.
Bogart and Reid will be reading “Gifts,” a book that explores a young girl and her grandmother’s shared imagination for travel souvenirs.
The book is part of the TD Grade One Book Giveaway and more than 500,000 copies have been distributed this month to grade one students across Canada. The giveaway program is now in its 12th year and is the largest free book distribution program to school-aged children in the country.
The reading is set for 1:30 p.m. at the West End Library.
