Unused and expired medication will have a place besides the garbage can thanks to a new program announced Thursday.
The Manitoba Medications Return Program is a collaborative effort by the Manitoba Society of Pharmacists, the Manitoba Pharmaceutical Association, Post Consumer Pharmaceutical Stewardship Association and Take Pride Winnipeg! Inc.
Medication that is no longer needed or expired can be dropped off at any local pharmacy for proper disposal. It’s a safer way to keep pills and other medications out of the reach of children, and is better for the environment.
