Canadian Border Agents Find Two U.S. Runaways

October 26, 2011 9:57 AM | News

Two runaway youths from the U.S. were apprehended by the Canada Border Services Agency on September 27.

Officials say the two boys were arrested near Emerson, Manitoba, along with three men. The minors told border agents they were 22-years-old and gave fake names and birth dates. The minors were eventually identified through a fingerprint check, where agents were able to determine they were listed as runaways south of the border.

The boys were held in CBSA custody in Winnipeg before being reunited with their mother in the U.S. on October 13.

Due to privacy issues, no further information was released.
