Winnipeg Sun, CBC Seeking a Few Good Hires

The Winnipeg Sun is on the hunt for two multimedia journalists to add to its Church Avenue newsroom.

The newspaper also acts as the Winnipeg bureau for Sun News Network, the recently-launched all-news channel under Quebecor Media.

Qualifications of the gig include being able to adapt to emerging trends in multimedia reporting, including video, blogging and effective social networking. Superior writing and interview skills, along with being comfortable in front of the camera are also a must.

The deadline to apply for both positions is November 4, 2011.

CBC/Radio-Canada is looking for a host for “The (204)” show on CBC Radio 1. The program showcases Manitoba music and includes some coverage of the Manitoba arts and culture scene.

A few qualifications include three years of broadcast or comparable and relevant hosting/performing experience, strong on-air performance skills, strong on-air personality, and proven interview skills.

The deadline to apply for the position is November 8, 2011.
