Search and rescue personnel from across Canada gathered in Winnipeg over the weekend for the 2011 SARscene Games at Assiniboine Park.
Police, military, firefighters, paramedics, and search and rescue staff performed demonstrations for the public, while at the same refreshing their own skills. Specially trained volunteers also took part in exercises to enhance their own abilities.
On Saturday, a team from the 435 Transport and Rescue Squadron performed a rescue jump out of a Hercules aircraft directly above the park.

Events wrap up today at the Winnipeg Convention Centre, co-hosted by the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner.
