Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash Near Winnipegosis

A single-vehicle collision with a tree has killed a 19-year-old man Skownan First Nation.

RCMP say the crash occurred at about 8 p.m. on Sunday when the vehicle left the roadway heading northbound on PR 276.

The 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier was carrying five people at the time of the crash. One of the passengers was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The man was a resident of the Skownan First Nation.

The driver and remaining occupants were treated for undetermined injuries.

The name of the deceased will not be released.

Alcohol is considered a factor in the collision.
