A 50-year-old Winnipeg man was killed in a crash involving a tractor on Wednesday evening in Saskatchewan.

The crash happened near Esterhazy — about three hours east of Regina — when the man’s Chevrolet Lumina collided into the back of a tractor towing a cultivator.

Both vehicles were travelling northbound at the time on a grid road.

Following the crash, the Lumina left the roadway and drove into a field, where it was later found submerged in a shallow body of water. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The victim’s name isn’t being released.
