As part of Remembrance Week, Brookside Cemetery will offer guided tours of its Field of Honour on Thursday, which is the final resting place for more than 10,000 war veterans.
The tour — beginning at 10 a.m. — is open to the public and will last about 2.5 hours.
The Field of Honour is the burial place for Canadian military men and women, and includes veterans from World Wars I, II, as well as veterans from the Korean and Vietnam Wars and the Battle of Hong Kong.
Veterans from WWII, Korea and Peacekeeping Missions will also be on hand to provide firsthand accounts of Canada’s military history.
Registration is required to attend the tour. To book your spot, call Brookside Cemetery at (204) 986-4348.
