The Manitoba Bison men’s hockey team returns home this weekend for their second series of games of the season at the Max Bell Arena.
The Bisons (4-2-2-) began the season with their highest ranking ever, sitting in second place in late October. As head coach Mike Sirant says, consistency needs to be key with how the team performs on the ice.
Watch:
Bisons’ defenceman Jeremy Schappert leads the Herd and is tied for tenth with eight points. Netminder Jesse Deckert is fourth in Canada West standings, while fellow goalie Joe Caligiuri is eighth.
The Bisons play the Lethbridge Pronghorns tonight and Saturday at 7 p.m. Next door at Investors Group Athletic Centre, the Bisons’ volleyball teams will face Okanagan on both nights. The women begin at 6 p.m., while the men follow at 8 p.m.
