Manitoba RCMP have charged one of their own with impaired driving.

Police say they received a complaint shortly after midnight on November 6 about an erratic driver on the Perimeter Highway and Summit Road on the outskirts of Winnipeg.

The vehicle was stopped and found to be driven by an off-duty RCMP constable with more than 10 years of service.

Tracey Santo, 32, was arrested and charged with impaired driving.

Santo was released and will appear in Winnipeg court on November 21. She has been placed on administrative duties while an internal investigation takes place.
