Construction will soon begin on a new $59 million diagnostic centre at Winnipeg’s Health Sciences Centre.
The seven-storey, 91,000-square-foot centre will be located on William Avenue and will be linked to the Children’s Hospital, the Ann Thomas Building and the new Women’s Hospital.
Once complete, it will house a new pediatric MRI, CT scanner, digital radiography suite, operating room angiography suite, and other medical amenities.
The centre will also be the first in Manitoba to have a 60-by-60-foot rooftop heliport.
Preliminary construction is underway and is scheduled to be completed by spring 2014.
