The Winnipeg Jets paid a visit to some very special fans Wednesday afternoon.

Dozens of kids and parents at the Children’s Rehab Centre in Winnipeg were treated to a meet and greet with several Jets players and coaches, and their smiles were enough to light the jam-packed room.

Watch:

“It’s a lot of fun just getting to meet the kids and some of their families,” said defenceman Mark Stuart. “The kids are smiling. It’s good.”

“I think it’s important to do these things together,” added Stuart, when asked if these events contribute to increased team chemistry. “It’s great to give back to the community… but it’s nice to do it as a team all together because I think the guys enjoy it, and doing it as a group as well.”

Roughly a dozen Jets players also visited the Children’s Hospital at Health Sciences Centre Wednesday.
