University of Winnipeg Inner City Jr. Wesmen Program (HANDOUT)
The University of Winnipeg and Salisbury House have come together to fundraise for the Inner City Jr. Wesmen Program.
The locally-based restaurant chain’s Sals Community Connection ‘Fun’Raiser Program will allow for inner-city youth to play basketball. The program also offers opportunities for kids in sports, education and employment.
The ‘Fun’Raiser program supplies special authorization letters to the Inner City Jr. Wesmen who will then forward them to their supporters for presentation at Salisbury House Restaurants on appointed days. Twenty percent of proceeds will be donated back to the program.
These letters will be distributed at the Inner City Girls Wesmen Classic Tournament that runs on December 12 and 13, and at the 45th Annual Wesmen Classic December 27-30. The authorization letter can be downloaded at Wesmen.ca and BasketballManitoba.ca
