Shoppers still searching for that perfect Christmas gift will save themselves a few bucks if they choose to shop online Monday.
A Canadian entrepreneur, who launched a successful website in the U.S. meant to save shoppers the fees of shipping from retailers, has brought his website to Canada.
Luke Knowles created Free Shipping Day and convinced about 1,800 retailers to hop on board and offer their products to consumers without burdening them with shipping costs. The one-day promotion on December 12 is now in its fourth year south of the border, but on Monday, Canadians will have access to the same perks.
FreeShippingDay.ca has about 80 retail partners, including Apple, Best Buy, Dell, Indigo, Gap, Old Navy, Sport Chek and others. Products are guaranteed to arrive by Christmas Eve.
Knowles, a Regina native, has also launched a similar website in the United Kingdom.
