Residents of the Misericordia Health Centre will be served a holiday feast this afternoon in the form of an early Christmas dinner.
Home-cooked turkeys with all the fixings will feed about 250 people at the centre, including their families.
Other items include ham, perogies, cabbage rolls, potatoes, and beets, all of which are prepared on-site.
“Residents may remember a time when they created their own family traditions, and they are not able to do that now,” said Teresa Turner, whose mother is a resident at Misericordia Place.
The dinner will begin at 11:30 a.m.
