The Manitoba Museum will be one of many recreational destinations in the city keeping kids busy over the Christmas break.
The museum has planned special programming from December 26 to January 8 in the museum galleries, science gallery and Planetarium.
Excluding Christmas Day, visitors can explore colours in nature, where Mother Nature’s finest hues are showcased in the Discovery Room. Over at the Parklands Pier, the Hinterland Animal Challenge will run daily from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., where kids can learn to identify local animals, and hear interesting stories about their behaviour and special adaptations.
Classic holiday shows will also run during the week, featuring “‘Tis the Season,” “The Alien Who Stole Christmas” and “Manitoba Skies.”
Guests can also take in Circus Animators, as they show off some of the “Freaks of Nature” from the museum’s human and natural collections.
