MTS will soon extend HD television and faster broadband Internet to several Manitoba communities in 2012.
Customers living in Neepawa, Minnedosa, Killarney and Carberry will see service improvements when MTS deploys its fibre-to-the-home network (FiON) early next year.
“FiON is one of the most advanced fibre optic network technologies in Canada and these communities will see major benefits from the industry-leading services it enables us to provide,” MTS president Kelvin Shepherd said in a release.
Increased Internet speeds will be up to 25 Mbps with potential future speeds of over 100 Mbps.
Earlier this month, MTS increased service to Dauphin as part of its FiON rollout.
