Eight university basketball teams will meet at the Duckworth Centre next week in the 45th Annual Wesmen Classic.
The University draw will include hometown Winnipeg, and teams from Manitoba, Brandon, UBC Okanagan, the University of Northern British Columbia, Keyano College and a pair of American schools, Minot State and Valley City State. Eight of the top high school boy’s teams from across Winnipeg will also compete.
The University draw begins Wednesday, December 28 and wraps up with the Championship Final on Friday, December 30 at 8 p.m.
The High School draw will include defending Wesmen Classic Champions the Garden City Fighting Gophers, joined by Kelvin, Maples, Kildonan East, Miles Macdonell, Glenlawn, John Taylor and Sturgeon Heights. The draw begins Tuesday, December 27 and ends with the Championship Final on Friday, December 30 at 6 p.m.
Tournament passes are $20 at the Duckworth Centre, 400 Spence Street.
