Manitoba Public Insurance plans to release an additional 5,000 Winnipeg Jets licence plates on Friday due to high demand.
The plates went on sale December 12, and the initial batch of 20,000 has already run out.
“Manitobans confirmed their passion for the Winnipeg Jets. This additional run will ensure that no Jets fan is left disappointed,” said MPI president and CEO Marilyn McLaren.
Vehicle owners can purchase a plate from any Autopac agent for $70, with $30 of the cost going towards the Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation.
Motorists are encouraged to call their local Autopac agent on Friday to ensure the additional Jets plates have arrived.
