Several people in Portage la Prairie were pepper sprayed just before midnight Saturday during a house party to ring in the New Year.
RCMP chased down a 14-year-old boy on foot after he fled the scene from the party in the 100 block of Royal Road.
The teen was arrested and has been charged with possession of a dangerous weapon and three counts of violating his probation.
Police are continuing to investigate.
