The 64-year-old pilot of a small aircraft walked away after a crash landing in the RM of Grey Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened just north of St. Claude, Manitoba near PR 240 at about 3:15 p.m. when the plane came in contact with hydro wires.

RCMP say the man was attempting to land a Cessna 172 at the time. The crash also brought down a hydro pole and wires.

No one else was travelling in the aircraft, and the pilot did not suffer any injuries.

Police continue to investigate.
