Winnipeg Woman Dies in Hospital Following Crash

A 21-year-old Winnipeg woman has died following a crash that killed a Sanford man on Wednesday.

The head-on collision happened at about 3 a.m. between a 2010 Chrysler Sebring and a 1990 Nissan pickup truck on Highway 3. The driver of the pickup — a 64-year-old man from Sanford, Manitoba — died at the scene. The Sebring was carrying a man and two women — one of whom has since passed away. At the time, it was reported all three were taken to hospital with serious, undetermined injuries.

The woman’s name isn’t being released.

UPDATE: The second woman riding in the Sebring has also died. She has been identified as a 20-year-old from Sanford.

UPDATE: Tuesday, June 26Clarke Gordon Harding, 31, of Winnipeg was arrested and charged on June 25 with criminal negligence causing death (x3), dangerous operation of a motor vehicle (x3) and impaired driving causing death. He will appear in Winnipeg court on July 25.
