The Winnipeg Goldeyes have re-signed infielder Price Kendall for the 2012 season.

The 26-year-old was named the American Association’s Rookie of the Year in 2011 after finishing with a .324 batting average and playing all 100 games for the Fish. He led the team with 135 hits and contributed two home runs and 54 RBI.

“Price has become a durable infielder that hits for average in the leadoff spot,” manager Rick Forney said on Saturday. “I am excited to have him back in my line up next summer and look forward to him building on his first two seasons in Winnipeg.”

Kendall was first signed to Winnipeg in 2010 after winning a job in training camp as a non-roster invitee.
