Tourism Video Targets Business Clientele to City

Tourism Winnipeg has launched a video meant to attract big-spending visitors to the city, aimed at the business and convention crowd.

The video, “Winnipeg — your meeting and convention destination,” was published to YouTube as a way of highlighting the city’s convention amenities and generate a buzz to national and international companies considering holding an event in Winnipeg.

“With its central location in Canada and North America, unique venues, downtown Winnipeg Convention Centre with 160,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and 6,400 hotel rooms available citywide, Winnipeg is a fantastic destination for meetings and conventions,” said Marina R. James, president and CEO of Economic Development Winnipeg Inc. “On average, Winnipeg hosts more than 200 meetings and conventions each year, bringing in 50,000 delegates and an average direct spending of $50M to the local economy.”
