Amateur Manitoba athletes and their coaches have an opportunity to cheer on the Winnipeg Jets at MTS Centre thanks to a partnership between the team and Manitoba Lotteries.

The Flight Deck program opens up 24 seats at every home game for amateur sports teams to take in the action. The program is for athletes aged eight to 17-years-old. The applicant representing the team must have successfully completed Sport Manitoba’s “Respect In Sport” program.

“We have some very dedicated athletes that just happened to be obsessed with hockey,” said Graham Bodnar, coach of the Richer Wildcats volleyball team, attending the December 17 Jets-Ducks game. “Coming to the city for a Jets game was beyond their wildest dreams.”

“Flight” applications will begin being accepted on Wednesday, January 25.
