Winnipeg Harvest Launching School Food Drive

Winnipeg Harvest will launch its 13th Annual Operation Donation School Food Drive today at Samuel Burland School.

The food bank will be running the week-long food drive from February 27 to March 2 and is encouraging all schools to get involved.

Last year, more than 70 Manitoba schools collected over 44,000 pounds of food in support of Winnipeg Harvest. Matched donations by Peak of the Market and Canada Safeway raised the total to 175,000 pounds.

The final weigh-in will take place at Winnipeg Harvest’s warehouse on March 20.
