The City of Winnipeg has rolled out the plows after an accumulation of snow fell overnight.

Truck plowing began Tuesday morning on the city’s Priority II streets, which accounts for all bus routes and collector streets. Plowing will continue throughout the day and overnight until completed.

Salting trucks have also been out on main routes, including Priority II and III streets.

Plowing of sidewalks on main routes, bus routes and collector streets, and residential streets is also underway and will continue this week.

The cleanup is expected to cost the city $300,000 and use 150 pieces of equipment.
