The Fort Richmond neighbourhood will hold several outdoor winter activities on Saturday as part of the 3rd Annual Mid-Winter Festival.

The student-led community initiative is being put on by Small Voices: Big Ideas, a student group who are known as “Friends of Fort Richmond.” From 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., students from Acadia Junior High and Fort Richmond Collegiate along with the support from King’s Park Daycare, Southlands Church, Boys and Girls Club, City of Winnipeg and the United Way, will host a dozen activity stations in the large park-like setting between Dalhousie School, Acadia Junior High School and Fort Richmond Collegiate.

The free family-friendly event will include games, entertainment and outdoor winter fun to celebrate the season.
