If you want a Winnipeg Jets license plate, time is running out. The hockey club announced Friday that only 2,000 plates remain available for purchase.
The $70 team plates went on sale December 12, selling 20,000 in the first week. An additional 7,000 plates were ordered to keep up with the demand.
“We will not be re-ordering additional license plates when the current supply sells out,” Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation executive director Dwayne Green said. “We strongly encourage people wanting a plate to purchase one promptly.”
Plates can be purchased from any Manitoba Autopac agent. Thirty dollars from each plate goes to the Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation.
The team will re-assess if more plates should be made prior to the 2012-13 NHL season.
