Following in the footsteps of the Assiniboine Community College men’s basketball team, the women’s team has also now withdrew from the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC).
The team was unable to meet the required number of players to meet MCAC’s requirements, thus forcing them to withdraw from the rest of the 2011-12 season.
All future games involving the ACC Cougars will be wiped from the MCAC schedule. As for past games, every team in the conference played one home game and one road game against ACC, with the exception of Providence University College, who played another two games against ACC last week. Providence has agreed to wipe those two wins from their record to even the standings for all teams.
