Winnipeg Blue Bombers head coach Paul LaPolice has been nominated for the Annis Stukus Trophy as the CFL’s Coach of the Year.
LaPolice receives the nomination after leading the Bombers to an East Division Championship and an appearance in the 99th Grey Cup.
LaPolice took the Bombers from a 4-14 record in 2010 to a 10-8 record a year later for a first place finish in the East Division for the first time since 2001.
LaPolice will be up against BC’s Wally Buono and Edmonton’s Kavis Reed for the honour. The winner will be announced on Friday, March 2 at the 51st Coach of the Year celebration in Toronto.
