A charity photography exhibit supporting Winnipeg community centres will be unveiled this afternoon.

Photos taken in the last year of outdoor hockey scenes at community clubs across the city will be showcased at the Riverview Community Centre at 2:30 p.m. The Rink Project celebrates the culture of Winnipeg outdoor hockey and will raise money through sales of the photos, with all proceeds donated to the General Council of Winnipeg Community Centres.

Former Winnipeg Jet and city councillor Thomas Steen and Manitoba Liberal leader Dr. Jon Gerrard will be on hand for the launch.

At the same time, a 4-on-4 hockey tournament will be taking place at the community centre. Games begin at 10 a.m. this morning.

Further information on the photography exhibit can be found at therinkproject.blogspot.com.
