Jets Players Visit Local Schools for ‘I Love to Read Month’

Winnipeg Jets players will head back to school today as part of “I Love to Read Month.”

Players will be reading to students from kindergarten to Grade 6 at Niji Mahkwa and Riverbend Community School. The winning classes had to write a 50-word submission on why the Jets should visit their classroom. Students will also be treated to prizes and an autograph session as part of the visit.

Players taking part include Mark Stuart, Evander Kane, Andrew Ladd and Bryan Little.

The Jets next play at MTS Centre on Tuesday where they’ll host the New York Islanders at 7:30 p.m. (TSN Jets, TSN Radio 1290).
