A Club of Their Own — City’s Black Dogs Come Together

Members of the Winnipeg Humane Society’s Black Dog Club gather at St. Vital Park on Saturday, February 18, 2012. Greg Berg of the WHS and coordinator for the event, said many people have a misconception that black dogs are aggressive, so the larger breed black dogs are passed over and the last to be adopted. There are about 120 members in the club, many of whom took part in the walk around the park over the mild weekend. (TED GRANT / CHRISD.CA)
