Snowfall accumulation over the past 24 hours will cost the City of Winnipeg approximately $300,000 to clean up.
Plowing and sanding is underway on bus routes and collector streets and will continue around-the-clock until completed. The city is also sanding residential streets.
Plowing of sidewalks on main routes, bus routes and collector streets will continue this week.
About 150 pieces of equipment will be used for this recent cleanup.
Motorists are reminded to drive to road conditions and to use extreme caution when driving near any plowing or salting/sanding equipment.
