The University of Manitoba Bison men’s volleyball team will head into the Canada West Final Four this weekend on the road.
The Herd — currently ranked second in the conference — will travel to Langley, B.C. to play Alberta in the first match beginning at 8 p.m. CT.
The Alberta Golden Bears are one place behind the Bisons, but tied at 2-0 in playoff standings. Earlier in 2011-12 season, Manitoba split a home series with Alberta.
The winner of the Manitoba/Alberta match will advance to the gold medal match while the loser will play in the bronze medal match — both scheduled on Saturday, February 25.
Manitoba head coach Garth Pischke has now guided the Bisons to the CIS National Championships for a 26th time.
