The Manitoba Bison men’s volleyball team ended the weekend placing second in the 2012 Canada West Final Four at Trinity Western.
The Herd defeated Alberta 3-1 in a semi-final match and lost 3-2 to TWU in the final.
This was the first time the Bisons won a silver medallist in the conference championship since the 2003-04 season.
Manitoba will still be one of four representatives at the 2012 CIS Men’s Volleyball National Championship at Queen’s University in Kingston, ON from March 2-4. The Bisons will play the seventh seed Western Mustangs (OUA finalists) in their first match on Friday. They will join Trinity Western, Alberta and Calgary.
