We Canada’s national tour will make a stop at the University of Winnipeg on March 7, where youth will have the opportunity to address their concerns about the environment.
The tour, Dialogue and Action for Earth Summit 2012, will be held in Eckhardt-Gramatté, 515 Portage Avenue, from 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.
The agenda includes a review of Canada’s history at the Earth Summit and a facilitated dialogue plus Elisabeth Guilbaud-Cox, the Officer-in-Charge of the United Nations Environment Programme Regional Office for North America (UNEP RONA) and Aleksandra Nasteska, co-founder of We Canada are speaking. The recommendations from these dialogues will be presented in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in June 2012.
The event is free and open to all, but participants must register to attend.
